> Unvented Hot Water
Systems
This course has been designed to enable
plumbing and heating engineers to confirm their competence
in:
- the design, installation and service and maintenance
of unvented hot water storage systems
- the understanding of central heating and hot water
storage systems' design and installation issues as
they relate to energy conservation measures as detailed
under Part L1 of the Building Regulations
The Unvented Hot & Cold Water Cylinder
Course is aimed at practising plumbers and heating engineers
who already have a knowledge of the fundamental requirements
of hot and cold water systems and central heating systems.
By undertaking training and assessment
in Unvented Hot Water Storage Systems, you will no longer
need to contact your local Building Control Officer
to have your work approved. You will be recognised as
being competent to design, install, service and maintain
Unvented Systems and can therefore self-certify your
own work.
A self-study manual is provided in
advance of the course and it is recommended that this
be studied for at least three weeks.
Training & Assessment
Half a day each is spent on training
and assessment. These run concurrently so can be achieved
in one day. It is against regulations for the assessment
to be taken without the training.
Course Pre-requisites
Knowledge of hot and cold water systems
and central heating systems; self-study of the manual
provided.
