CCN1 Domestic Natural Gas Safety
This course forms the basis for all other Domestic Natural Gas ACS units. It is not possible to proceed to further ACS domestic qualifications without holding this qualification.
Course Pre-requisites
The Category of the candidate
in question determines the course pre-requisites, content
and duration of the course.
Training
Training courses are designed specifically for the Category of the candidate to match their experience and to bring them up to CCN1 assessment level.
Training is held at our premises and due to the nature of the equipment used during training, cannot be delivered offsite or online although our candidates can access the latest set of training notes online from the date they book in and for the duration of their qualification.

- Gas Safety Legislation (Initial Assessment Only)
- Gas Emergency Actions and Procedures
- Characteristics of Combustion
- Ventilation
- Installation of Pipe work and Fittings
- Test for Tightness
- Checking and/or Setting Meter Regulations
- Identification of Unsafe Situations
- The Operation and Positioning of Emergency Controls
- Emergency Notices and Warning Labels
- The Operation and Checking of Gas Safety Devices and Controls
- Flue Testing
- Installation of Open, Balanced and Fan Assisted Flue Assemblies
- Re-establish Existing Gas Supply and Re-light Appliances
